Portrait Painting – Beginner & Intermediate ( Wednesdays, 9:00AM-12:00PM)
Explore the art of portrait painting in a welcoming, hands-on class designed for both beginners and intermediate artists. Students will learn how to observe and capture the human face while developing strong foundational painting skills and their own artistic voice.
Through guided demonstrations and individual instruction, we will explore facial proportions, drawing and composition, color mixing, skin tones, light and shadow, brushwork, and creating depth and expression. Students will work from photographs and references while learning how to move from the initial sketch to a finished portrait.
Beginners will receive step-by-step guidance and build confidence with essential techniques, while intermediate students will focus on refining their skills, experimenting with paint application, and developing a more personal approach to portraiture.
Class runs for 7 weeks.
